Description

This dictionary presents the diversity of the Lemko dialect – one of the Carpathian dialects of the south-western dialect group of the Ukrainian language.
The publication contains words, phrases and idioms that reproduce the particularities of the everyday life, economic activity and cultural heritage of the Lemkos, representing specific features of this dialect that are not characteristic of other Ukrainian dialects. The dictionary is primarily intended for researchers of dialects, as well as aimed at a wide range of linguists, writers, folklorists, students of philology, teachers – and all who are interested in the issues of dialects, native tongue, and the material and spiritual culture of Lemkivshchyna.
